Dochus Story

Dochus /doh-ch-us/ born from the Gaelic word for hope. Dochus encapsulates the strong spirit of Scotland offering hope and optimism towards the future.

The Water

Hailing from the Eastern Highlands of Scotland, Dochus originates from the ancient springs around the natural and beautiful hillside surrounds of the Cairngorms. Flowing for centuries, the water from the springs holds treasured legends from its extensive history, with the first definitive mention of the water in 1245. For many years the water was used for refreshment and as time progressed stories emerged of its purity and curative properties encouraging health seekers to flock to the springs. Tales of expeditions to the so called “miracle waters” filter through the springs’ rich past from the Knights Templar to Queen Victoria and Lord Byron all visiting the springs in their time. Today the water is as pure as ever, flowing and filtering from the hillside surrounds.

The Journey

The journey of Dochus takes place over half a century ago. Before the first man landed on the moon, the inaugural pilgrimage to Woodstock and the inception of the internet, while the passing of time occurred the gentle filtration continued its’ process. Rainwater collected on the hillside and percolated for fifty years through the rugged granite rock, capturing Scotland’s spirit and emerging from the springs as the purest water and the heart of Dochus. From the vast surroundings, the smooth and soft textured spring water is used for its’ unique natural chemistry and blended with our selection of the finest botanical extracts and the essence of single malt whisky barrels. Bottled and blended in Scotland, Dochus carries on the legacy of the Eastern Highlands.
